【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=생거진천 군립교향악단이 지난해 8월 창단된 이후 왕성한 활동을 이어가는 가운데, 초평면 주민들을 위한 특별한 음악회를 개최한다. 

  교향악단은 5월 12일 월요일 저녁 7시부터 초평면 양촌마을 광장(용정리 414-1번지)에서 주민들에게 친숙한 클래식 음악과 더불어 추억의 흑백 무성영화를 상영하는 이색 이벤트를 준비했다. 

  이번에 상영되는 무성영화 ‘검사와 여선생’은 1948년 발표작으로, 억울하게 살인 누명을 쓴 여선생이 재판에서 옛 제자인 검사를 만나는 이야기를 담고 있다. 

  특히, 국내 ‘마지막 변사’라는 최영준 씨가 영화 해설을 맡아 구성진 입담으로 노년층의 향수를 불러일으킬 것으로 기대된다.

  한편, 생거진천 군립교향악단은 충북 군 단위 도시 중 최초로 성인으로 구성된 공립교향악단으로, 초대 강수형 지휘자를 필두로 18명의 전공 단원과 13명의 군민 단원으로 활동하고 있다.

  지난해 11월 ‘생거진천문화축제’에서 정식으로 첫선을 보인 이후 ‘생거진천예술제’와 ‘2024 군민 감사 송년음악회’, 올해는 농다리 야외음악당 공연과 읍․면 주민들을 위한 ‘찾아가는 음악회’ 등 10여 차례 이상의 크고 작은 공연을 꾸준히 선보이며 진천군 대표 예술단으로 자리매김하고 있다.
