 지원 대상은 제천시에 주민등록을 두고 실제로 거주하는 만 18세 이상의 시민 중 건강보험 차상위계층 및 의료급여 수급자에 해당하는 암환자로서 병원에서 탈모가 발생했다는 의사 소견서를 제출한 사람이다. 지원 금액은 가발 구입비의 90%를 지원하되, 최대 70만 원 한도로 지급된다.

 이정임 의원은 “항암치료 중 탈모로 어려움을 겪는 암환자들이 실질적인 도움을 받을 수 있도록 조례안을 발의했다”며, “경제적 부담을 덜어줄 뿐만 아니라 자존감 회복과 치료 의지 강화에도 기여하기를 기대한다”고 밝혔다.

 「제천시 암환자 가발구입비 지원 조례안」은 오는 5월 9일부터 5월 29일까지 20일간 시민들의 의견수렴을 거쳐 제347회 제1차 정례회에 상정될 예정이다.
