이번 행사는 가정의 달이지만 외로이 계시는 어르신들께 조금이나마 사랑을 전달하고자 기획됐다. 30여 명의 청소년들은 청소년지도사와 함께 바구니에 하나하나 정성껏 꽃을 꽂았으며 메시지 카드를 넣어 자신만의 특별한 꽃바구니를 만들었다.

완성된 바구니는 안부와 함께 이원면에 홀로 거주 중인 어르신 가정 및 경로당에 전달되었다.

꽃을 전달받은 어르신들은 “청소년들이 직접 만든 꽃을 받으니 눈물 날 정도로 고맙다”며 기뻐했다.

군 관계자는 “청소년들이 손으로 만든 작은 정성이 세대를 넘나드는 큰 감동이 되었다”며 “앞으로도 지역사회와 함께 소통하고 공감하는 프로그램을 지속해 나가겠다”고 전했다.

On the 7th, the Iwon Youth Culture Center successfully concluded its ‘Love with My Own Hands – Making Carnations’ program.

This event was planned to deliver a little love to seniors living alone during Family Month. Around 30 youths, along with youth leaders, carefully placed flowers one by one in baskets and added message cards to create their own special flower baskets.

The completed baskets were delivered to seniors living alone and senior centers in Iwon-myeon along with greetings.

The seniors who received the flowers were delighted, saying, “We are so grateful that we could cry when we receive flowers made by the youth.”

A county official said, “The small sincerity made by the youths’ hands has become a great inspiration that transcends generations,” and added, “We will continue to communicate and empathize with the local community in the future.”
