【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=지난 7일 조병옥 음성군수는 관내 공공 체육시설인 음성 반다비 국민체육센터를 찾아 시설 운영업체인 아이에스티 주식회사(대표 최한근) 종사자를 격려하고 건의 사항을 듣는 간담회를 가졌다.

음성 반다비 국민체육센터는 25m(7레인) 규모의 수영장과 다목적 체육관 GX(다목적실)을 갖춘 음성군 내 가장 큰 공공 체육시설이다.

현재 센터에서는 장애인 재활 강습을 포함한 26개의 수영강습반, 21개의 G.X필라테스반, 줌바댄스 2개 강좌, 장애인 기관단체와 업무협약을 통한 체육관 무료 대관 수업, 장애인 특수체육반을 운영하고 있다. 

이날 간담회에서는 체육시설을 돌아보며 체육센터 주요 현황을 공유하고 주민 편의 증진을 위한 다양한 의견을 나눴다.

아이에스티(주) 유영열 본부장은 주요 시간대 비장애인의 강습수요 증가에 따른 강습반 신규 개설과 대단위 운동시설임에도 편의시설 부재에 따른 이용자 불편 사항 개선을 위해 근린생활시설로의 일부 용도변경 등을 건의했다.

조 군수는 “편의시설 부족에 따른 주민 불편 사항이 신속히 개선될 수 있도록 관련 행정절차를 시행할 예정”이라며 “앞으로도 시설 이용이 더욱 활성화되고 안전하고 쾌적한 체육시설이 될 수 있도록 노력해 주길 바란다”고 말했다.

한편 아이에스티(주)는 음성군 인구유입 시책인 ‘내고장 음성愛 주소갖기 운동’ 확산을 위해 관외 전입자 수영장 3개월 무료이용권 지급과 무료 셔틀버스 운영, 장애인 기관단체 업무협약을 통한 체육관 무료 대관 등 지역사회 환원 사업을 펼치고 있다.
