【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=직장·공장새마을운동증평군협의회(회장 신동규)는 8일 어버이날을 맞아 증평군노인복지관에서 사랑의 점심나누기 급식 봉사를 펼쳤다.

지난해에 이어 올해도 어버이날에 열린 이번 행사는 경로효친의 전통적 미덕을 실천하고 지역사회 어르신들에 대한 존경과 사랑의 마음을 전하기 위해 마련됐다.

이날 행사에는 이재영 군수를 비롯한 새마을회원 등이 함께 참여해 정성껏 마련한 점심식사를 배식하며 어르신들의 안부를 살폈다.

신동규 회장은 “어버이날을 맞아 회원들이 십시일반으로 모금한 행복 1% 기금으로 어르신들께 식사를 대접할 수 있어 큰 보람을 느낀다”며, “앞으로도 지역의 어르신들이 소외되지 않도록 나눔과 봉사문화를 확산시켜 나가겠다”고 말했다.

한편, 직장·공장새마을운동증평군협의회는 사랑의 점심 나누기, 1일 부모 되어주기, 효 어르신 동행 등 다양한 봉사활동을 펼치고 있다.
