【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=제천시체육회는 지난 8일 제천시청 청풍호실에서 제64회 충북도민체육대회 출전 선수단 결단식을 성황리에 개최했다.

 이번 결단식은 도민체전을 앞두고 출전 선수단의 각오를 다지고, 제천시민의 열정과 자부심을 담아 대회에 임하겠다는 의지를 다지는 자리로 마련됐다.

 이날 행사에는 김창규 제천시장을 비롯한 지역 시‧도의원, 체육회 임원진, 시청 실과소장 등 관계자 100여 명이 참석해 우리 제천시 선수단을 격려하고 힘찬 응원을 보냈다.

 제천시는 이번 대회에 일반부 26개 종목, 학생부 4개 종목 등 총 30개 종목에 총 481명(선수 312명, 임원 169명)의 대규모 선수단을 구성해 출전한다.

 안성국 체육회장은“제천시의 명예를 걸고 참가하는 선수들이 자긍심을 가지고 최선을 다해 주길 바란다”며 “그동안의 땀과 노력이 값진 결실로 이어지길 기대한다”고 격려했다.

 김창규 제천시장도“시민들의 큰 기대와 응원이 여러분과 함께 하고 있다”며 “끝까지 포기하지 않고 최선을 다하는 모습으로 제천시의 저력을 보여주길 바란다”고 격려했다.

 한편, 제64회 충북도민체육대회는 5월 8일부터 10일까지 3일간 충주시 일원에서 개최되며, 도내 11개 시‧군이 참여해 우정과 경쟁을 펼칠 예정이다.
