【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충주시는 영구 불임이 예상되는 자의 난자와 정자의 냉동 시술비 지원사업을 시작한다고 8일 밝혔다.

이 사업은 의료행위로 인한 생식기능 손상으로 영구 불임이 예상되는 자에게 생식세포 동결과 보존 비용을 지원함으로써 가임력을 보전하고 향후 임신과 출산 가능성을 확보하는 데 도움을 주고자 마련됐다.

사업지원은 모자보건법 시행령 제14조 의학적 사유에 해당하는 자만 가능하다.

사유에는 △유착성자궁부속기절제술 △부속기종양적출술 △난소부분절제술 △고환적출술 △고환악성종양적출술 △부고환적출술 △항암치료(항암제 투여, 복부 및 골반 부위 포함 방사선 치료, 면역 억제 치료) △염색체 이상(터너증후군, 클라인펠터증후군, 균형전이에 따른 생식기 기능 저하) 등 총 8가지가 있다.

검사, 과배란 유도, 생식세포(난자, 정자) 채취, 동결, 보관 등의 본인부담금 50%를 지원하며 여성은 최대 200만 원, 남성은 최대 30만 원까지 생애 1회씩 결혼 여부와 관계없이 지원받을 수 있다.

단, 해당 시술과 무관한 검사료, 입원료, 연장 보관료는 지원 대상에서 제외된다. 

신청은 생식세포 채취일(2025년 1월 1일 이후)로부터 6개월 이내에 시보건소를 방문해야 가능하며, 이달 말부터는 e보건소(e-health.go.kr) 누리집을 통해 온라인 신청도 가능할 전망이다.
