 청남대관리사업소(소장 김병태)는 지난달 24일부터 지난 6일까지 청남대 일원에서 진행된 봄꽃축제 영춘제가 막을 내린 가운데 축제 기간 13일 동안 총관람객 8만 1,245명이 다녀갔다고 7일 밝혔다.

 이 같은 관람객 수치는 지난해 17일간 진행한 영춘제(8만 1,216명)와 비교해 소폭 상승, 같은 기간 대비 37% 증가한 것으로 코로나 사태 이후 영춘제 기간 최다 관람객이며 하루 평균 6,250명, 단일 최고 관람객 수는 1만 2,708명을 기록하는 등 연일 청남대를 찾는 상춘객의 발길로 북적거리며 영춘제의 인기를 실감케 했다.

 청남대는 영춘제 기간 풍성한 꽃과 문화·예술 프로그램을 마련해 관람객의 오감을 만족시켰다. 청남대를 가득 메운 영산홍과 초화류를 비롯해 다양한 야생화 작품과 미술 전시회를 선보이는 동시에 어린이날을 맞아 가족운동회와 플리마켓, 인기 토크쇼 등 가족 관람객을 위한 프로그램 다양하게 선보여 호응을 얻었다.

 올해는 특히 축제 기간 등 성수기 차량정체 완화를 위해 ‘문의-청남대’ 간 무료 순환버스를 운영해 눈길을 끌었다. 영춘제 기간 주말 및 공휴일 총 6일간 운행한 순환버스를 하루 평균 537명 이상 총 3,222명의 관람객이 이용한 것으로 나타났다. 그 결과 지난해보다 확연히 차량정체가 줄어들어 이용객들에게 좋은 평가를 받았다.
