【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=정영철 충북 영동군수가 지난 2일 경북 김천시를 방문해 배낙호 김천시장과 면담을 갖고, 양 지자체 간 상생 협력을 위한 다양한 현안을 논의했다.

 정 군수는 “영동군은 김천시와 인접한 생활권을 공유하는 지자체로, 김천시립추모공원의 안정적 운영에 일정 부분 기여하고 있다”며 “영동군을 ‘준관내 지역’으로 지정하여 타 지자체 대비 형평성 있는 이용료가 적용될 수 있도록 배려해달라”고 요청했다.

 아울러 정 군수는 오는 9월 개최되는 ‘2025 영동세계국악엑스포’를 소개하고, 김천시의 적극적인 관심과 협조를 당부했다. “이번 국악엑스포는 전통문화의 계승은 물론, 지역 간 문화 교류와 관광 활성화의 전기를 마련할 중요한 계기가 될 것”이라며 “김천시민들의 많은 관심과 참여를 기대한다”고 말했다.
