【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북도민의 화합과 열정을 하나로 모으는 제64회 충청북도민체육대회가 오는 8일 오후 6시, 충주시 충주종합운동장에서 개회식을 시작으로 3일간의 열전에 돌입한다.

충주시에서 도민체전이 열리는 것은 2012년 이후 13년 만이다. 

이번 대회는 ‘더 가까이 충주에서 하나되는 충북도민’을 슬로건으로, 도내 11개 시군에서 5,000여 명의 선수단이 참가해 육상, 축구, 씨름, 태권도 등 26개 종목에서 기량을 겨룬다.

개회식은 5월 8일 오후 6시 충주종합운동장에서 충주의 정체성과 시민 참여를 강조한 ‘문화체전’으로 꾸며진다. 

특히 1,000명의 충주시민이 참여하는 ‘천명의 소리 시민합창단’ 무대가 마련돼, 도민들에게 웅장한 감동을 선사할 예정이다.
