【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충주시는 24일 ‘2025년도 청렴시민감사관 간담회’를 열고 올해 활동계획과 향후 추진 방향을 논의했다.

이번 간담회는 청렴시민감사관 제도의 실효성을 높이고 시민 중심의 투명한 행정을 구현하기 위해 마련됐다.

회의 후에는 칠금동 공사 현장 일대를 직접 방문해 안전 점검을 시행하며 현장 중심의 감시 활동도 병행했다.

청렴시민감사관 제도는 충주시가 청렴도 1등급 달성을 목표로 운영 중인 대표적인 시민 참여형 감시 기구로, 「충주시 청렴도 향상 지원 조례」와 「청렴시민감사관 운영 규칙」에 따라 도입됐다.

2025년부터 2년간 활동하게 될 감사관은 기술·토목·건축·법규 등 각 분야의 민간 전문가 6명으로 구성되어 있다.

이들은 공사 현장 안전 점검, 읍면동 감사 참여, 청렴 캠페인 전개 등 다양한 활동을 통해 공직 내 부패 사각지대를 집중적으로 감시할 예정이다.

특히 추석 등 부패 취약 시기에는 비위 제보 강화, 연말에는 성과 정리 간담회를 통한 제도 발전방안 도출 등 시민 목소리를 반영한 선제적 청렴 시책도 병행할 방침이다.

시 관계자는 “청렴은 시민 행복 행정의 출발점”이라며, “청렴시민감사관과 함께 투명하고 신뢰받는 충주시를 만들어 가기 위해 다양한 청렴 시책을 지속적으로 발굴·추진하겠다”고 밝혔다.
