농협 직원 J 씨는 1억 원의 현금을 모두 인출해 달라는 B 씨의 행동을 수상하게 여겨 보이스피싱 범죄임을 직감, 곧바로 112에 신고 후 경찰이 현장에 도착할 때까지 인출 절차를 지연하는 등 신속하고 침착한 대응으로 피해를 예방했다.
