특히, 이번 특강에서는 ‘길어지는 노년기’에 대한 준비, 다른 나라의 어르신 관련 정책 소개, 옥천군 노인⸱복지 정책에 대해서 설명하였으며, 건강하고 활기찬 노년을 보내기 위한 영상과 함께해 볼 수 있는 난센스 퀴즈 등을 준비하여 지루함 없이 강의에 집중할 수 있도록 참여를 유도했다. 

추복성 의장은 “어르신들의 지혜와 경험이 우리 옥천군의 자산이자 힘”이라며, “가속화되는 초고령화 시대, 우리지역 실정을 반영한 실효성있는 어르신 복지 증진 제도 마련을 위해 적극적으로 노력하겠다.”라고 밝혔다.
