【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충청북도경찰청(청장 김학관)은 지난 14일 농협중앙회 충북본부와‘피싱 범죄 예방을 위한 업무 협력 회의’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 회의는 피해액이 증가하고, 다액 사건이 발생하는 최근 피싱 피해 추세와 피해금을 잃으면 회수하기 힘든 피싱 범죄에 대응하기 위해 피해금 인출 및 송금 전 ‘선제적 예방’관련 각 기관의 제언을 종합하여 피싱 예방에 실질적 적용을 위한 방안을 모색하기 위해 주최됐다.

충북청은 피싱 범죄가 대부분 악성앱 설치 후 진행되는 점에서 은행 고객 대상‘악성앱 탐지 어플 활성화’, ‘대기장소에 피싱테스트 배너 설치’, ‘금융사기 예방 진단표 공유 및 최신화’등을 도내 은행권과 협업 추진하여 피싱 범죄 예방 활동을 전개할 계획이다.

최근 농협중앙회 충북본부 소속 모 농협에서 고령의 피해자가 현금 5,000만원을 인출 요청하자 업무메뉴얼에 따라 인출 사유 등 상세히 질문, 피해자가 횡설수설하며 대답을 못한 후 집으로 돌아가자 피해자의 주거지까지 찾아가 보이스피싱 범죄 사실을 알리며 112 신고하여 피싱 피해를 예방한 사례가 있는 등 경찰과 금융권의 협업은 피싱 예방 관련 핵심적 역할이 기대된다는 설명이다.

충북청은 앞으로 농협 뿐 아니라 도내 각 은행권과 협력 회의를 진행하여 피싱범죄 피해 예방을 다각도로 추진하겠다는 입장이다.

김학관 충북청장은 “이번 업무협력회의를 통하여 다시금 피싱 예방 시스템을 점검하고, 피싱 범죄로 인하여 억울한 도민이 발생하지 않도록 금융권과 협업하여 실질적 예방이 이루어질 수 있도록 노력하겠다.”고 전했다.
