이날 오전 충북도청 여는마당에서 개최된 협약식에는 신병대 청주부시장, 김영환 충북도지사, 이혁종 ㈜바이넥스 대표이사가 참석했다.

이번 협약을 통해 ㈜바이넥스는 오송 공장 내 생산시설을 확장하고, 글로벌 수준의 바이오 의약품 제조 및 개발 역량을 더욱 강화할 예정이다. 

또한 신규 고용창출 효과도 예상돼 지역 경제 활성화에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

이번 투자는 ㈜바이넥스가 글로벌 시장에서의 입지를 강화하고 첨단 기술력을 바탕으로 새로운 성장 동력을 확보하기 위해 결정했으며, 청주시의 적극적인 투자 지원 및 기업과의 긴밀한 협력을 바탕으로 성사됐다. 

청주시는 이를 위해 행정적‧재정적 지원을 아끼지 않으며, 기업이 안정적으로 사업을 운영할 수 있도록 지속적으로 협력할 예정이다.

현재 삼성바이오에피스, 셀트리온 등 글로벌 제약사와 협력해 바이오 의약품 생산 및 위탁개발 서비스를 제공하고 있으며, 최근 10년간 연평균 11.6%의 매출 성장률을 기록하고 있다.

오송 공장은 바이넥스의 핵심 생산시설 중 하나로, 2026년 미국 FDA 심사를 앞두고 있어 글로벌 품질 기준을 충족하는 최첨단 시설로 거듭날 예정이다.
