【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=청주대학교(총장 김윤배)는 충북국제개발협력센터가 최근 충청북도기업진흥원에서 ‘KOICA ODA 조달 및 기업협력사업 설명회’를 개최했다고 13일 밝혔다. 

충북국제개발협력센터(센터장 최성호)는 이번 설명회가 개발도상국 진출을 모색하는 기업 및 기관을 대상으로 KOICA의 다양한 기업협력 사업을 소개하고, 참여 방안을 안내하기 위해 마련됐다고 덧붙였다.

충청북도기업진흥원에서 진행된 설명회에는 KOICA 관계자들이 직접 참여해 조달 및 기업협력 사업에 대한 구체적인 내용을 밝혔다. 주요 내용으로는 ▲KOICA 조달 절차 및 참여 방법 ▲개발협력 사업을 통한 해외 시장 진출 전략 ▲기업 및 기관과의 협력 사례 ▲충청북도 도내 기업의 포용적 비즈니스 프로그램 참여 사례 등이다.

특히 이번 행사에서는 KOICA의 기업협력 프로그램인 혁신적 기술을 활용한 개발협력 프로그램(CTS)과 포용적 비즈니스 프로그램(IBS) 등이 강조된 가운데 53개 기업 및 기관에서 참여한 60여 명은 KOICA 사업을 활용한 해외 진출 기회를 모색할 수 있는 유익한 정보를 얻을 수 있었다고 입을 모았다.

충북국제개발협력센터 최성호 센터장은 "이번 설명회를 통해 지역 기업과 기관들이 KOICA 사업을 활용해 글로벌 시장에 진출할 수 있는 계기가 되길 바란다"며 "앞으로도 국제개발협력 분야에서의 정보 공유와 네트워크 구축을 지속적으로 지원할 계획"이라고 밝혔다.

한편 청주대는 지난 2021년 충북국제개발협력센터를 유치한 데 이어 지난해 2차 사업에서 최종 선정되는 등 충청권 대학으로는 유일하게 충북국제개발센터를 운영하고 있다. 

현재 충북국제개발센터는 충북 지역 내 국제개발협력 및 ODA(공적개발원조) 사업에 대한 이해 증진, 지역 사회(대학, 기업, 기관, 시민단체, 지역주민)의 ODA 사업 참여 활성화를 비롯해 글로벌 청년인재 양성 교육, 컨설팅, 홍보 등 다양한 활동을 수행하고 있다.

Chungbuk International Development Cooperation Center of Cheongju University Holds KOICA ODA Procurement and Corporate Cooperation Business Briefing Session

Cheongju University (President Kim Yoon-bae) announced on the 13th that the Chungbuk International Development Cooperation Center recently held a ‘KOICA ODA Procurement and Corporate Cooperation Business Briefing Session’ at the Chungcheongbuk-do Enterprise Promotion Agency.

The Chungbuk International Development Cooperation Center (Director Choi Seong-ho) added that this briefing session was prepared to introduce KOICA’s various corporate cooperation projects and guide participation methods for companies and organizations seeking to advance into developing countries.

KOICA officials directly participated in the briefing session held at the Chungcheongbuk-do Enterprise Promotion Agency and explained specific details about procurement and corporate cooperation projects. The main contents included ▲KOICA procurement procedures and participation methods ▲Overseas market entry strategies through development cooperation projects ▲Cases of cooperation with companies and organizations ▲Cases of participation in inclusive business programs by companies in Chungcheongbuk-do.

In particular, this event highlighted KOICA's corporate cooperation programs, such as the Development Cooperation Program (CTS) using Innovative Technology and the Inclusive Business Program (IBS), and about 60 participants from 53 companies and organizations agreed that they were able to obtain useful information on seeking overseas expansion opportunities using KOICA projects.

Chungbuk International Development Cooperation Center Director Choi Seong-ho said, "I hope that this briefing session will serve as an opportunity for local companies and organizations to utilize KOICA projects to enter the global market," and added, "We plan to continue to support information sharing and network building in the field of international development cooperation in the future."

Meanwhile, Cheongju University is the only university in the Chungcheong region to operate the Chungbuk International Development Cooperation Center, having attracted the Chungbuk International Development Cooperation Center in 2021 and being selected for the second round of the project last year.

Currently, the Chungbuk International Development Center is carrying out various activities such as promoting understanding of international development cooperation and ODA (Official Development Assistance) projects in the Chungbuk region, activating participation of local communities (universities, companies, institutions, civic groups, local residents) in ODA projects, as well as providing education, consulting, and public relations to foster global youth talent.
