겨울방학을 맞이해 평일, 주말 관계없이 많은 방문객이 다녀갔으며 특히 길었던 설 연휴 군내 아동·청소년뿐만 아니라 고향을 찾은 아동·청소년들도 부모·친인척과 함께 눈썰매를 즐기는 등 행복한 추억을 쌓았다. 

전년도 운영 결과를 바탕으로 썰매장 및 부대 시설을 개선하고 안전한 주변 환경을 조성하는 등 부모들과 아이들이 마음 놓고 놀 수 있는 공간으로 조성해 이용자 관점에서 시설을 정비해 만족도를 높였다.

올해 군은 지난해보다 규모를 대폭 확대해 특색별로 3개의 구역으로 나누어 △스노우존에 눈썰매장, 대형슬로프, 눈놀이터, 회전썰매 △얼음존에 얼음썰매장과 얼음슬라이드 △놀이존에 범퍼카와 에어바운스 등을 배치해 다채로운 즐거움을 선사했다.
