【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=음성군은 예상치 못한 각종 재난과 사고로부터 피해를 입은 군민의 생활 안정을 지원하기 위해 도입한 ‘군민안전보험’의 보장항목과 한도를 확대해 운영한다고 3일 밝혔다.

군은 군민들의 의견을 반영해 기존 20개 항목에서 23개 항목으로 보장을 확대하고 기존 항목들을 재검토해 보장 금액을 늘리는 등 군민 안전망을 더욱 강화했다.

이번 확대 운영으로 대중교통 이용 중 상해사망·후유장해, 스쿨존 교통사고 부상치료비, 사회재난사망의 보장금액을 기존 1000만원~1500만원에서 2000만원으로 증액했으며, 지난해 10월 추가 가입한 자전거 상해사망·후유장해의 보장금액은 1000만원에서 1500만원으로 증액했다.

또한 가스상해위험사망·상해후유장해, 유독성물질사망 등 3개의 신규 항목이 추가돼 총 23개 항목을 보장한다. 

기존 △자연재해 상해사망 △폭발·화재·붕괴 상해사망·후유장해 △강도상해사망·후유장해 △익사사고사망 △성폭력범죄피해·상해 △농기계사고상해사망·후유장해 △실버존사고 치료비 담보 △개인형이동장치 상해사망·후유장해 △사회재난상해 후유장해는 기존 보장 한도를 그대로 유지한다.

올해 7년째 운영 중인 이 제도는 음성군에 주민등록을 둔 군민과 등록외국인은 별도의 절차 없이 자동 가입되며, 가입비용은 군에서 전액 부담한다.

보험기간은 2025년 2월 1일부터 2026년 1월 31일까지이며, 타 보험과 관계없이 중복으로 보장된다.
