이날 행사에서는 박연주 회장(고려전자(주) 대표)이 2년간의 임기를 마치고 이임했으며, 이용숙 신임 회장((주)3A 대표)이 새롭게 협회장직을 맡았다.

이용숙 신임 회장은 취임사에서 “어려운 경제 상황에서도 적극 대응해 여성 기업인의 경쟁력을 높이고, 단체의 화합과 개별기업의 성장을 통해 지역 경제 활성화에 앞장서겠다”라고 포부를 밝혔다.

조길형 시장은 축사를 통해“급변하는 국내외 경제 환경 속에서도 굳건히 기업을 발전시키며 지역 경제의 든든한 반석이 되어주시길 바란다”라고 당부하며, 여성 기업인들의 역할을 강조했다.

한편, 2011년 7월에 설립된 충주시 여성기업인 협회는 여성 기업인의 지위 향상과 권익 보호를 목적으로 운영되고 있으며, 현재 회원 29명으로 구성되어 있다.

또한, 여성 기업인의 경쟁력 강화와 지역사회 기여를 위해 다양한 활동을 전개하고 있다.
