【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=보은군은 국토교통부에서 추진 중인 영동~오창 고속도로 민간투자사업의 전략환경영향평가 초안에 대한 주민설명회를 9일 군청 대회의실에서 개최했다.

영동~오창 고속도로 건설은 국가간선도로망 조기 구축과 경부고속도로 병목 구간 해소, 충북 내륙지역 국토균형발전 등을 위해 실시된다. 

영동군 용산면부터 청주시 오창읍까지 총 연장 70.27㎞의 규모에 왕복 4차로 고속도로를 건설하는 대형사업으로 공사는 2027년 착공, 2031년 준공을 목표로 추진되고 있다. 

이날 설명회에는 계획 노선에 포함된 보은읍, 삼승면 등 지역주민 60여 명이 참석했으며, 고속도로 건설사업으로 인해 자연환경, 생활환경 및 사회‧경제환경 등 환경 전반에 미치는 영향 및 처리 방안과 노선계획안에 대해 주민들에게 설명하고 질의·응답 등을 통해 주민들의 의견을 수렴했다. 

전략환경영향평가서 초안은 21일까지 보은군청 환경위생과에서 열람 가능하며 공고문과 초안 요약문은 군 누리집에서 확인할 수 있다. 

군 관계자는 “의견이 있는 주민은 2월 5일까지 군청 환경위생과 및 읍‧면행정복지센터로 주민의견서를 제출하면 된다”고 전했다.
