  접종 대상자는 접종일 기준 진천군에 주민등록을 둔 65세(1960년 12월 31일 이전 출생자) 이상 군민이다. 

  다만, 과거 대상포진 예방접종을 1회라도 접종했거나 대상포진 생백신 금기자는 대상에서 제외된다.

  접종을 원하는 주민은 신분증을 지참해 지정의료기관으로 방문하면 된다.

  군 대상포진 예방접종 지정의료기관은 △진천읍 9개소(중앙제일병원, 성심흉부외과의원, 장사랑연합내과의원, 전내과, 중앙재활의학과의원, 한사랑외과의원, 바른정형외과의원, 박소아청소년과의원, 조이소아과의원) △덕산읍 6개소(늘푸른의원, 서울바른내과의원, 연세좋은의원, 우리가정의학과의원, 혁신성모병원, 이강원의원) △이월면 1개소(성심의원) △광혜원면 1개소(으뜸수의원)이다. 

  최정우 보건행정과 주무관은 “대상포진은 발생 시 신경통과 같은 합병증이나 후유증을 유발할 수 있어 예방접종이 필요하지만, 고가의 접종비로 접종률이 낮다”라며 “군민의 질병 예방과 건강 수준 향상을 위해 무료 대상포진 예방접종을 지원하고 있으니, 대상자께서는 꼭 접종하시길 바란다”라고 말했다.
