【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=청주시의회(의장 김현기)는 2일 오전 11시 청주시의회 임시청사 특별위원회실에서 김현기 의장과 이영신 부의장을 비롯한 40명의 시의원들과 이범석 청주시장을 비롯한 집행부 간부 공무원 등 총 100여명이 참석한 가운데 2025년 신년회를 개최했다.

최근 발생한 제주항공 여객기 참사 희생자에 대한 추모와 함께 건배 제의 등을 제외하고 경건한 분위기에서 진행됐다.

이날 신년회는 을사년 새해를 맞아 청주시의회와 집행부가 한 데 모여 희망찬 청주를 위한 포부를 다짐하기 위한 자리로, 신년회에 참석한 시의원 및 간부 공무원들은 새해를 맞아 덕담을 나누며, 한마음 한뜻으로 2025년에도 청주시 발전을 위해 시민들과 공감하고 화합할 것을 약속하였다. 

김현기 의장은 신년인사에서 “88만 시민 여러분께서 청주시의회를 믿고 맡겨주신 책무와 사명감을 기억하고 성실히 의정활동을 펼쳐 나가겠다.”며 “집행부와 소통하는 화합의 행정, 시민과 공감하는 의회, 또 중앙과 지방의 불균형을 없애고 지방자치와 분권을 실현할 수 있도록 적극적인 의정 활동을 통해 ‘인화사성(人和事成)을 이뤄내겠다.”고 말했다.
