【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북도는 26일 제5대 충청북도청소년종합진흥원장으로 김자중 원장을 임용한다고 밝혔다.

 도는 이날 충북도청 여는마당에서 신임 김자중 원장에게 임용장을 수여했다. 임기는 오는 2025년 1월 1일부터 2026년 12월 31일까지 2년이다.

 김자중 신임 원장은 충북 청원 출신으로 청주기계공고와 청주대학교를 졸업했으며, 충북 교육청 비서실장, 충북학생수련원 운영지원과장, 충북해양교육원 원장을 역임하는 등 풍부한 행정 경험과 함께 청소년 정책에 대한 전문성을 갖추고 있다는 점이 높게 평가받아 발탁됐다.

 김영환 지사는 이날 임용장을 직접 수여하고, 충북의 청소년 정책의 활성화를 위한 청소년종합진흥원의 역할과 앞으로의 방향성 등에 대한 각별한 당부와 격려를 전했다.

 김자중 신임 원장은 “청소년종합진흥원의 새로운 미래 방향성을 확립하고, 충북 청소년들의 안전하고 건강한 성장과 발전을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”며 취임 포부를 밝혔다. 

 한편, 충청북도청소년종합진흥원은 1국(사무국), 3개 센터(청소년상담복지센터, 청소년활동진흥센터, 청소년성문화센터), 9팀에 51명이 근무하고 있으며, 위기청소년에 대한 상담, 학습, 사회복귀 지원과 청소년활동 지원, 청소년활동 프로그램 개발·보급 및 건전한 성(性) 가치관 함양을 위한 성교육 등 다양한 분야에서 청소년 지원 활동을 하고 있다.
