【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북지역혁신플랫폼과 국립한국교통대학교가 주최하고 충주시와 충북 과학기술혁신원 북부권 혁신지원센터가 주관한 ‘2024 충주 바이오헬스 지⋅산⋅학⋅연 워크숍’이 18일, 더 베이스 호텔에서 개최됐다.

이날 워크숍은 충주 바이오헬스산업 진행 상황과 발전 전략을 공유하고, 관계기관 간 교류와 협력 확대를 위해 마련됐다.

워크숍에는 지역 바이오기업 20여 개와 충청북도, 국립한국교통대, 건국대 글로컬캠퍼스를 비롯해, 한국건설생활환경시험연구원(KCL), KOTITI시험연구원, 충북 바이오산학융합원 등 바이오 관계자 100여 명이 참석했다.

행사는 충주 바이오기업의 기술개발 동향과 내년 개소 예정인 충주지식산업센터의 소개, 정부 공모사업 선정으로 추진하고 있는 바이오 인프라 구축 사업과 연구 개발사업 소개, 시에서 내년도에 추진 예정인 바이오 기업지원 사업 소개 등으로 진행됐다.

시 관계자는“작년 10월 충주 바이오헬스 국가산업단지가 국토부의 최종 승인을 받은 데 이어, 올해는 산업통상자원부 산업혁신 기반 구축 공모사업인 ‘바이오소재 시험평가센터 구축’ 사업에 선정되는 등 바이오산업 육성을 위한 그간의 노력이 결실을 거두고 있다”고 말했다.

그는 또한 “이번 워크숍을 통해 충북도와 기업, 대학, 연구기관과 협력을 강화해 바이오산업이 더욱 성장하길 바란다”고 밝혔다.

The '2024 Chungju Biohealth Local·Industry·Academic·Research Workshop' hosted by the Chungbuk Regional Innovation Platform and the National Korea Transport University and organized by the Chungju City and the Chungbuk Science and Technology Innovation Center Northern Innovation Support Center was held at The Base Hotel on the 18th.

The workshop was organized to share the progress and development strategies of the Chungju biohealth industry and to expand exchanges and cooperation between related organizations.

The workshop was attended by about 100 people related to bio, including about 20 local bio companies, Chungcheongbuk-do, the National Korea Transport University, Konkuk University Global Campus, Korea Construction Living Environment Testing Research Institute (KCL), KOTITI Testing Research Institute, and Chungbuk Bio-Industry-Academic Convergence Center.

The event included an introduction of Chungju bio-companies’ technology development trends and the Chungju Knowledge Industry Center scheduled to open next year, an introduction of the bio infrastructure construction project and research and development project being promoted as a government-sponsored project, and an introduction of the city’s bio-companies support project scheduled to be promoted next year.

A city official said, “Following the final approval of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport for the Chungju Bio-Health National Industrial Complex in October of last year, this year, it was selected for the ‘Biomaterial Testing and Evaluation Center Construction’ project, a Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy industrial innovation infrastructure construction project, and so our efforts to foster the bio-industry so far are bearing fruit.”

He also said, “Through this workshop, we hope to strengthen cooperation between Chungbuk Province, companies, universities, and research institutes so that the bio-industry can grow even further.”
