【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=단양교육지원청(교육장 나광수)은 2일, 단양공설운동장과 단양다목적체육관에서 관내 학생, 학부모, 마을교육활동가 등을 대상으로 ‘지역과 함께하는 축제’를 실시했다.

축제는 지방 소멸 시대 학령기 인구 감소 위기 극복을 위한 공동교육과정 프로젝트와 더불어 지역과 함께하는 특색있는 온마을배움터 확산을 위한 공감과 소통의 장으로 마련됐다. 

주요 내용으로는 △지역과 함께하는 단양 중3 축제 △단양온마을배움터 지역교육축제가 이루어졌다. 

특히 단양 중3 축제는 관내 중학교 3학년 학생과 교직원을 대상으로 단양교육지원청 주최하고 단양군청년연합회가 주관하여 이루어졌다. 오전에는 몸근육 활성화를 위한 학교스포츠클럽 연계 체육활동을, 오후에는 마음근육을 키우기 위한 경제 독서 골든벨 퀴즈와 학교별 장기자랑이 이어졌다.

「어울림! 이끌림! 웰컴투 단고을-녹색쉼표! 함께 그린(Green) 단양온마을배움터」를 주제로 열린 지역교육축제에는 마을교육 활동가와 지역체험처, 진로체험지원센터가 함께 13개 부스로 운영되었다. 

특히, 단양국가지질공원 홍보 부스에서는 유네스코 세계지질공원 이사회 심의 통과를 축하하고 홍보하였다. 부스에 참여한 교육공동체들은 내년 5월 프랑스 파리에서 열리는 집행이사회 최종 승인을 염원하는 마음을 모았다.

축제에 참여한 학생은 “친구들과 운동장에서 신나게 몸활동도 하고 다양한 추억을 쌓았다”며 “골든벨 활동과 부스체험을 하며 우리가 살고 있는 고장과 경제에 대한 이해를 다지게 되었다”고 말했다.

나광수 교육장은 “학생들이 지덕체의 조화로운 성장을 이루는 교육에 함께 해주시기를 바란다”며 “앞으로도 교육공동체가 함께 공감하고 동행하는 지속가능한 단양교육실현을 위해 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
