【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북도와 청주시, 충북테크노파크, 한국기계연구원, 한국과학기술정보연구원, 한국표준협회가 2일 충북 제조기업의 디지털 전환 촉진 및 경쟁력 강화를 위한 협약을 체결했다.

 이날 협약식에는 김영환 충북도지사와 신병대 청주시 부시장, 오원근 충북테크노파크 원장, 류석현 한국기계연구원장, 김재수 한국과학기술정보연구원장, 강명수 한국표준협회장 등이 참석했다.

   협약에 따라 이들 기관은 충북 제조기업의 디지털 전환을 위한 혁신기술 협력 생태계 조성, 디지털 기술지원․확산․인력양성 등 기업지원, 네트워크 구축 및 기술교류에 관한 활동, 기업 경쟁력 강화를 위한 공동 연구개발 체계 구축 및 사업발굴, 공정혁신 시뮬레이션센터 구축․운영 등에 상호 협력하기로 했다.

 한국기계연구원(KIMM)은 기계분야의 연구개발, 성과확산, 신뢰성평가 등을 통해 국가 및 산업계의 발전에 기여하기 위해 설립된 정부출연연구소로서, 특히 반도체ㆍ이차전지 관련 특수장비의 인공지능 기반 맞춤형 시뮬레이션 기술지원이 가능하다.

 한국과학기술정보연구원(KISTI)는 국가 과학기술 정보 분야의 전문연구기관으로 국가 과학기술 진흥과 산업의 발전에 기여하기 위하여 설립된 정부출연연구소로서, 국내 유일의 과학기술 연구 전용 국가슈퍼컴퓨터 5호기 누리온 등을 통해 고난이도 해석 기술 지원과 국내 유일의 개방형(원격지원) 시뮬레이션 기술지원 인프라를 구축하고 있어 최대 30인 동시 접속, 17종의 공학 시뮬레이션 지원이 가능하다.

 한국표준협회(KSA)는 산업표준 관련 업무를 하는 법정협회로 산업통상자원부 소관의 공직유관단체로서 기업에서 필요로 하는 다양한 분야의 맞춤형․수준별 교육훈련 프로그램을 제공하고 있으며, 오창에 충북지역본부를 두고 있다. 

 김영환 충북도지사는 “이번 협약으로 충북도의 많은 유망 제조기업이 대한민국의 산업을 선도하는 앵커기업으로 도약하는 발판이 되길 기대한다” 고 강조했다.

 위 협력기관들은 산업통상자원부로부터 지난 3월 공모 선정된 공정혁신 시뮬레이션센터 구축․운영사업을 시작으로 상호 협력체계를 구축해 나갈 예정이다.

 공정혁신 시뮬레이션센터는 청주 산업단지내 구축, 9월 개소 예정이며, 2024년부터 2026년까지 3년간 국비 등 268억원을 투자하여 반도체․이차전지 산업에 맞춤형․개방형 시뮬레이션 기업지원 체계를 구축하고 소재․부품․공정설계, 해석 및 시제품 개발 지원, 인력양성 등을 통해 기업의 제품개발 주기 단축, 생산 프로세스 최적화 등 기업을 지원하게 된다.
