【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북 영동군 정신건강복지센터는 유족들이 건강한 애도 과정을 통해 상실을 극복하고 심리·정서적 안정을 되찾을 수 있도록 유족 자조모임 ‘따뜻한 동행’을 운영한다고 밝혔다.

 ‘따뜻한 동행’은 예기치 못한 이별을 겪은 유족들이 편안한 분위기 속에서 마음을 나누고 서로에게 힘이 되어줄 수 있도록 마련된 모임이다. 2017년 3명으로 시작한 이 모임은 꾸준한 운영을 통해 2025년에는 참여 인원이 20명으로 늘었으며, 연 11회 정기적으로 진행됐다. 이와 함께 예술요법과 나들이 등 다양한 치유 프로그램은 물론 남부 3군 연합 자조모임도 병행해 왔다.

특히 영동군 정신건강복지센터는 갑작스러운 상실로 큰 어려움을 겪는 유족들을 돕기 위해 애도 상담과 함께 생활 전반을 아우르는 원스톱 지원 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 해당 서비스는 일시 거주 지원, 법률 상담, 사후 행정 지원, 특수청소, 학자금 지원 등으로 구성돼 있으며, 2025년에는 총 5건, 300만 원의 지원이 이뤄졌다.

이번 ‘따뜻한 동행’ 프로그램은 28일(토)부터 시작되며, 매월 셋째 주 토요일 오전 10시부터 오후 1시까지 운영된다. 프로그램은 식물을 활용한 꽃꽂이, 목공예 등 다양한 체험 활동과 전문가 상담을 통해 마음의 상처를 돌보고, 사별 이후 겪을 수 있는 우울과 불안 등 심리적 어려움을 자연스럽게 나누는 시간으로 구성될 예정이다.

영동군보건소는 “비슷한 경험을 한 유족들이 서로의 이야기에 귀 기울이고 함께 치유의 과정을 걸어가며, 조금씩 일상을 회복해 나가길 바란다”고 전했다.
