【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=영동교육도서관은 겨울방학을 맞아 초등학생을 대상으로 겨울방학 특강과 겨울 독서교실을 운영한다. 방학 중 학습 공백을 완화하고 건전한 여가 활용 기회를 제공하기 위함이다.

겨울방학 특강은 총 4개의 체험형 프로그램으로 구성해 2월 5일(목)부터 2월 13일(금)까지 진행한다. 「알파미니와 함께하는 로봇 극장」은 휴머노이드 로봇을 활용해 책 속 장면을 새로운 방식으로 구현해보며 상상력과 표현력을 키우는 활동으로 마련했다. 「나도 이모티콘 디자이너」는 태블릿으로 나만의 이모티콘을 만드는 과정에서 아이디어를 이미지로 구체화하며 디지털 창작 역량과 성취감을 높이도록 구성했다.

이 외에도 ▲책이 빛나는 업사이클 독서등 만들기 ▲매듭이 톡톡! 마크라메 도어벨 만들기를 함께 운영해 책과 연계한 만들기 체험으로 독서 경험을 자연스럽게 넓힐 예정이다.

겨울 독서교실은 ‘그림책으로 만나는 감정 여행’을 주제로, 1월 27일(화)부터 1월 30일(금)까지 진행한다. 감정 관련 그림책을 함께 읽고 참여형 소통 활동과 공예 체험을 연계해 아이들이 감정을 자연스럽게 풀어내도록 구성했다.

수강 신청은 1월 13일(화)부터 1월 26일(월)까지 영동교육도서관 누리집에서 진행되며 수강료는 무료다.

도서관 관계자는 “겨울방학 특강과 겨울 독서교실을 통해 아이들이 부담 없이 책을 접하고 다양한 체험 활동에 참여하며 겨울방학을 의미 있게 보내기를 바란다”며 “앞으로도 방학 프로그램을 내실 있게 운영해 방학이 배움과 성장이 함께하는 시간이 되도록 하겠다”고 말했다.
