이번 연말연시 음주운전 특별단속 기간 중 경찰은, 주·야간을 가리지 않고 지역별 유흥가 등 음주운전 위험구간을 중심으로 수시 장소를 변경하며 단속 활동을 추진하는 한편, 가용 경력을 최대 투입하여 도내 일제단속과 경찰서 자체 단속을 한층 강화하고, 음주의심이 드는데도 불구하고 감지가 되지 않는 경우, 운전자를 대상으로 약물운전에 대한 적극 대응도 병행 추진할 예정이다.
