【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북 영동군은 내년 3월 15일까지 겨울철 자연재난 대책기간을 운영하며 대설·한파 등에 대비하기 위한 종합대응 체계를 본격 가동 중이라고 27일 밝혔다.

앞서 군은 지난달 2025년 겨울철 자연재난(대설·한파) 사전대비 종합추진계획을 수립했다.

이를 기반으로 겨울철 재해우려지역 27개소 및 마을회관·경로당·읍면사무소 등‘한파쉼터’302개소를 대상으로 안전 점검을 실시했다.

관내 버스정류장 방풍막 및 동장군대피소 7개소도 신규 설치한다. 이를 통해 군민들이 추위 속에서도 따뜻하게 대기할 수 있도록 하고 안전한 이용을 위해 관련 시설에 대한 사전 점검도 시행할 예정이다.

또한 비상단계별 재난안전대책본부를 구성하고, 재난 대응 상황관리체계를 갖춘 합동 T/F팀을 구축해 △취약계층 한파예방물품 지원 △어르신 안부 확인 △한파쉼터 운영 등 취약노인·노숙인 등 취약계층의 피해를 최소화할 방침이다.

대설에 대비해서는 제설 차량 22대와 제설제 1,120톤을 확보하였고, 작년보다 차량 1대를 추가 준비하여 제설 민원 해소에 만전을 기하고 있다. 또한 이면도로 제설 강화를 위해 읍·면 자체 임차용역 체계를 구축해 보다 촘촘한 제설 계획을 마련했다.

이어, 폭설 시 군민 불편을 최소화하기 위해 취약 노선 2구간(군도 2호선, 7호선)에 도로 열선을 운용 중이다.
