또한 입시 준비로 지친 학생들을 위해 이 의장은 “지금의 선택이 평생을 결정하는 것은 아니며 중요한 것은 자신이 선택한 길을 끝까지 밀고 나갈 용기”라며 “실패를 두려워하지 말고, 기회가 왔을 때 잡을 수 있는 준비된 사람이 되길 바란다”고 격려했다.

특강에 참석한 학생들은 이 의장의 실제 사례를 통해 공직의 역할과 책임, 지역사회 봉사의 가치 등을 이해하는 시간을 가졌으며, 질의응답 시간에는 진로 고민, 의회의 역할, 지역 발전 등에 대한 질문이 이어졌다.
