【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=국악관현악의 대중화, 실험적 확장을 선도해온 오케스트라 상상(예술감독·지휘자 유용성)이 이달 28일 오전 10시, 오후 7시 30분, 증평문화회관에서 새로운 레퍼토리 시즌 컨템포러리 시리즈 'The Spectrum'을 선보인다. 

충청북도와 충북문화재단, 증평군이 후원하고 오케스트라 상상이 주최·주관하는 이번 공연은 2025 공연장상주단체 육성지원사업의 일환으로 전통과 현대가 실시간으로 교차하는 새로운 국악의 감각을 무대화하는 실험적 프로그램이다.

‘The Spectrum’이라는 부제는 음악의 질감, 음색, 신체 퍼포먼스, 디지털 사운드 등 여러 요소들이 서로의 경계를 넘나들며 하나의 예술영역을 형성하는 과정을 의미한다. 

이번 무대는 전통 국악을 기반으로 하면서도 일렉트로닉, 앰비언트 사운드, 라이브 시퀀스, 연희 퍼포먼스가 어우러지는 현대 국악의 확장된 가능성을 제시한다.

이번 공연에는 한국과 지역을 기반으로 독창적인 예술세계를 펼쳐온 예술감독 거문고 유용성, 멀티인스트루멘탈리스트 LK9(이경구), 멀티퍼커셔니스트 유병욱, 전자연희·설장구 아티스트 조갑동, 전통연희(기놀이, 버나놀이 등) 예술가 정일용이 협업자로 참여한다. 

이들은 명상, 향 퍼포먼스, 거문고와 전자음악, 디지털 타악, 전통연희와 현대 사운드가 결합하는 새로운 무대 감각을 실현하며, 오케스트라 상상이 지향해온 ‘전통 기반의 실험예술’을 완성한다.

프로그램은 ‘몸-소리-자연-영혼’을 키워드로 구성된다.

특히 이번 무대는 국악이 추구할 수 있는 미래적 표현과 융합 예술의 방향성을 제시하는 전환점이 될 것으로 기대를 모은다.

공연은 전석 무료로, 5세 이상이라면 누구나 관람할 수 있다.

가족과 아이들이 부담 없이 함께 즐길 수 있을 뿐 아니라, 청년과 일반 관객, 그리고 국악을 처음 접하는 관람객도 편안하게 참여할 수 있도록 마련됐다.

한편 오케스트라 상상은 증평군 공연장상주단체로서 창작 레퍼토리 개발뿐 아니라, 청소년·시민 예술교육 프로그램, 국제 교류, 사회 공헌 활동을 통해 지역과 세계를 잇는 예술 플랫폼을 구축해오고 있다.
