【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=한때 국민애창곡인 ‘울고 넘는 박달재’로 유명한 제천시 봉양읍에서 11월 29일부터 30일까지 2일간 봉양읍 주포리 소재 문화복지센터 일원에서 제6회 봉양 박달콩 축제가 개최된다.

봉양읍축제추진위원회가 주관하고 제천시, 봉양읍, 봉양농협 등이 후원하는 이번 행사는 지역특산품인 박달 콩을 직거래 판매해 농가의 소득을 높이고 시민들에게 좋은 품질의 콩을 제공하기 위해 마련됐다.

우리 지역 농업인들이 한 해 동안 땀 흘려 정성껏 생산한 콩을 활용해 백태, 서리태, 쥐눈이콩 등을 축제 현장에서 직거래로 판매하고, 두부·된장·고추장·청국장·기름·약초 등 다양한 지역 먹거리도 함께 선보일 예정이다.

이번 축제는 봉양읍 농촌중심지활성화사업 마을협의체가 마을 주민의 화합과 농산물 판매 증대를 위해 기획한 행사로, 가요TV를 초청해 여러 가수가 출연하는 신나는 공연도 준비되어 있어 방문객들에게 풍성한 즐길 거리를 제공할 계획이다.

또한 부대행사로 주민자치프로그램 및 지역 동아리 공연, 플리마켓, 떡메치기 등 다양한 체험행사가 마련되며, 박달콩 두부구이, 가래떡구이, 떡메 인절미 등 시식 및 먹거리 존도 운영될 예정이다.

박달콩 축제추진위원장 김남홍 위원장은 “품질 좋은 박달콩을 알리고, 관람객들에게 즐거운 추억을 선사할 수 있도록 축제 준비에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
