 천범산 총장은 “충북도립대학교가 큰 도전에 직면해 있으나, ‘위기는 반드시 기회가 될 수 있다’라는 믿음으로 ‘도민과 함께 미래로, 지역산업을 선도하는 투명하고 신뢰받는 대학’이라는 새로운 비전을 설정하겠다”라며, “조직혁신과 투명경영을 통해 도민의 신뢰를 회복하고, 지역 산업 연계 및 특성화 교육을 추진함과 동시에 국제화와 교육역량 강화를 통해 미래 인재를 양성하겠다.”고 밝혔다.

 천 신임 총장은 충북 옥천 출신으로 옥천고등학교, 충북대학교 행정대학원을 수료하고, 1987년 공직에 입문한 후 교육부 지방교육재정과장, 교육일자리총괄과장을 거쳐 충청북도교육청 부교육감, 세종시 부교육감 등을 역임하는 등 38년간 교육행정의 길을 걸어왔다.

 이러한 풍부한 교육행정 경험과 정책 네트워크를 바탕으로 4년 임기 동안 충북도립대 혁신을 이끌어 가기 위해 최선을 다할 계획이다.

President Chun, a native of Okcheon, North Chungcheong Province, graduated from Okcheon High School and Chungbuk National University's Graduate School of Public Administration. He entered public service in 1987 and has since served as Director of the Local Education Finance Division and Director of the Education Job Creation Division at the Ministry of Education, Deputy Superintendent of Education at the Chungcheongbuk-do Provincial Office of Education, and Deputy Superintendent of Education at Sejong City, bringing his career to 38 years.

Leveraging this extensive experience in educational administration and his established policy network, he plans to dedicate himself to leading innovation at Chungbuk Provincial University during his four-year term.
