【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 증평군은 31일 김득신문학관에서 ‘2025 하계 학생근로’ 참여대학생들과 이재영 군수가 함께하는 간담회를 열고, 한 달간의 근로 활동을 마무리하는 뜻깊은 시간을 가졌다.

이번 간담회는 하계 학생근로에 참여한 지역 출신 대학생 30여 명의 노고를 격려하고, 군정에 대한 청년들의 의견을 직접 듣기 위해 마련됐다. 

특히 군청과 산하기관에서 다양한 업무를 경험한 학생들의 생생한 현장 목소리가 오가며, 군정 발전을 위한 실질적 소통의 장이 됐다.

한 참여 학생은 “공무원들이 농업, 환경, 보건 등 다양한 분야에서 정말 많은 일을 하고 있다는 것을 처음 알게 됐다”며 “증평군이 얼마나 섬세하게 군민을 위한 행정을 펼치고 있는지 체감한 뜻깊은 시간이었다”고 소감을 밝혔다.

이재영 군수는 “여러분이 행정의 현장을 직접 경험하며 느낀 점들이 앞으로의 진로 선택에 큰 도움이 되기를 바란다”며 “증평군은 앞으로도 청년들이 머무르고 도전할 수 있는 환경을 만들기 위해 청년정책을 더욱 확대해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편 군은 지역 대학생들에게 공직 체험 기회를 제공하고 진로 탐색을 돕기 위해 매년 동·하계 학생근로 사업을 운영하고 있다. 

이번 하계근로는 7월 1일부터 31일까지 한 달간 진행됐으며, 참여 학생들은 각 부서에 배치돼 문서 정리, 민원 안내, 현장 업무 지원 등 다양한 행정 보조 업무를 수행했다.

One participating student commented, "I learned for the first time how much public officials are doing in diverse fields, including agriculture, the environment, and health. County Governor Lee Jae-young stated, "I hope that the experiences you've gained from experiencing administrative work firsthand will be of great help in your future career choices." Meanwhile, the county operates a summer and winter student work program every year to provide local college students with opportunities to experience public service and assist them in career exploration.

This summer work program ran for one month, from July 1st to 31st. The participating students were assigned to various departments and performed various administrative support tasks, such as organizing documents, handling civil complaints, and providing on-site support.
