【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=음성군이 최근 함박산 등산로 입구에 여름철 무더위 속 산을 찾는 방문객들의 편의제공을 위한 세족장을 설치하고 본격적인 운영에 들어간다고 31일 밝혔다.

함박산 등산로는 해발 340m의 완만한 경사의 숲길로 인근 혁신도시 뿐 아니라 많은 관광객이 찾는 음성군 대표 등산코스 중 하나이다.

그동간 산행을 즐기는 이들이 많았으나, 산행 후 먼지와 이물질로 더러워진 곳을 씻을 마땅한 시설물이 없어 주민들의 요구가 잇따랐다.

이에 군은 맹동면 두성리 산46-3번지 함박산 등산로 주차장에 산을 찾는 주민과 관광객들이 산행 후 흙먼지와 오염을 깨끗하게 씻고 쾌적하게 귀가 할 수 있도록 하기 위해 세족장을 설치했다.

새롭게 설치된 세족장은 네 명이 동시에 사용할 수 있는 규모로 제작됐으며, 상수와 오수관로가 모두 연결돼 있어 위생적인 이용 환경을 제공한다. 

특히, 지난 3월에는 등산로에 있는 노후 화장실을 전면 교체하여 보다 쾌적한 환경을 제공하고 있으며, 이번 세족장 설치를 통해 산행 후 발을 씻을 수 있는 공간까지 마련함으로써 이용자 편의성이 크게 향상됐다.

이 외에도 두촌성당 뒤편에서 등산로에 접근할 수 있는 주차장에는 화장실, 먼지털이기, 세족장 등의 편의시설이 갖췄다.

산림녹지과 관계자는 “함박산 등산로에 새롭게 설치된 세족장은 누구나 손쉽게 이용할 수 있으며, 앞으로도 지속적인 관리와 편의시설 개선을 통해 등산객의 만족도를 높이겠다”고 말했다.
