아토피피부염은 생후 6세 이하 어린이에게 흔히 발생하는 만성 염증성 피부질환으로 피부가 건조하고 가려우며 증상이 반복적으로 나타나 일상생활에 큰 스트레스를 주는 질환이다. 이에 군은 증상 완화에 도움을 주는 보습제를 지원하여 어린이들의 피부건강과 성장발달을 돕고 있다. 

지원 대상은 옥천군에 주소를 둔 만 6세 이하 미취학 어린이로 주민등록등본(또는 초본), 아토피피부염 진단(L20) 처방전 혹은 진료내역서를 지참해 보건소 건강증진센터 2층 모자건강팀을 직접 방문하여 신청하면 된다.

한편 군 보건소는 보습제 지원 외에도 아토피피부염 예방을 위한 올바른 정보제공과 관리 방법을 교육하고 있으며 아토피 질환에 대한 인식개선을 위해 노력하고 있다.

박성희 보건소장은 “보습제 지원으로 아이들의 피부건강에 도움이 되길 바라며 앞으로도 주민 눈높이에 맞는 건강사업과 일상에서 체감할 수 있는 보건 서비스를 계속 확대해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
