【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=새마을문고중앙회 증평군지부(회장 강미영)는 30일 좌구산숲명상의집에서 ‘찾아가는 피서지 문고’ 개소식을 가졌다.

이날 개소식에는 이재영 군수와 새마을문고 회원들이 함께해 책과 자연이 어우러지는 특별한 여름 피서의 시작을 알렸다.

‘찾아가는 피서지 문고’는 여름 휴가철 좌구산을 찾는 피서객들이 언제 어디서나 책을 가까이할 수 있도록 마련된 한시적 운영 독서 공간으로, 8월 23일부터 9월 14일까지 매주 토·일요일 총 4주간 운영된다.

운영 기간 압화 책갈피 만들기, 양말목 카네이션 가방걸이 등 체험 프로그램은 물론 피서객들을 위한 구급약품, 휴대폰 충전기, 시원한 음료 제공 등 편의 서비스도 함께 제공돼 눈길을 끈다.

강미영 회장은 “책 한 권으로 시작된 여행이 추억으로 남을 수 있도록, 문고 운영과 다양한 행사 준비에 정성을 다했다”며 “증평을 찾아주신 분들에게 즐거운 여름의 한 페이지가 되길 바란다”고 전했다.

이재영 군수는 “요즘처럼 책과 점점 멀어지는 시대에 자연 속에서 책과 함께하는 휴식은 그 자체로 의미 있는 피서”라며 “좌구산의 맑은 공기와 함께 마음의 여유까지 챙겨가시길 바란다”고 말했다.

한편, 새마을문고 증평군지부는 하반기에도 알뜰도서교환시장, 북페스티벌, 대통령기 독서경진대회 등 독서문화 확산 프로그램을 계획하고 있다.
