【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충주시학교밖청소년지원센터(센터장 최은이)는 29일 센터 내에서 학교 밖 청소년 13명을 대상으로 봉사동아리 발대식과 사전교육을 진행했다.

봉사동아리는 학교 밖 청소년들이 자발적이면서 적극적으로 봉사활동에 참여하는 것을 돕기 위해 조직됐다.

이날 행사에는 봉사동아리 발대식에 이어, 봉사활동의 의미와 목적을 이해하고 실제 활동에 필요한 태도와 역량을 기르는 사전교육을 함께 진행해, 참여 학생들의 봉사 정신을 함양하는 데도 힘썼다.

봉사동아리는 △자기 주도적 봉사활동을 통한 책임감과 주체성 향상 △지역사회와의 긍정적인 상호작용을 통한 공동체 의식과 사회 적응력 증진 △또래 간 협력 활동을 통한 상호존중, 배려, 자율성 등 건강한 사회성 발달 등을 목표로 운영될 예정이다.

발대식에 참여한 한 청소년은 “그동안 봉사활동은 남의 일처럼 생각했는데 직접 참여할 기회가 생겨 기대된다”라며, “친구들과 함께 보람찬 활동을 할 수 있도록 힘내겠다”라고 말했다.

시 관계자는 “자발적인 봉사에 참여하는 청소년들의 따뜻한 마음에 느끼는 바가 많다”라며 “시에서도 청소년들의 건강한 활동을 지원할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”라고 말했다.

한편, 충주시학교밖청소년지원센터는 여성가족부와 충주시가 지원하는 학교 밖 청소년 지원 전문기관으로 학업 중단 청소년들의 학업 복귀와 사회진입을 위한 맞춤형 서비스를 제공하고 있다.
