【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충주시는 (사)한국향토음악인협회(회장 류호담)이 26일 주최한 제7회 백봉음악제가 관객들의 열띤 응원 속에 성공리에 마무리됐다고 29일 밝혔다.

백봉음악제는 고향 노래 작곡에 일생을 바친 백봉 작곡가의 높은 애향정신을 되새기고 앞으로의 고향 노래 발전을 도모하고자 충청북도와 충주시의 예산 지원을 받아 개최됐다.

올해 음악제는 하명지 씨의 진행과 김용태 악단의 반주에 맞춰 인기가수 문연주, 고정우, 마니, 정일, 권지영 등의 축하공연이 함께 해 큰 호응을 얻었다.

또한, 전국 예선을 통과한 13명의 본선 진출자의 최선을 다한 공연이 관객들의 마음을 울렸다.

음악제 실황은 CCS충북방송에서 8월 8일부터 방영될 예정이다.

경연 결과 ‘월악산’을 부른 채지산 양(여, 11세)이 대상을 수상하며 상금 300만 원과 트로피를 받았다.

금상은 '남한강 삼백리'를 부른 장기원 씨(남, 69세), 은상은 '산길'을 부른 김성 씨(남, 61세), 동상은 '단양팔경'을 부른 이희정 씨(여, 52세)가 차지했다.

장려상은 '할미꽃 사연'을 부른 강병열 씨(남, 71세)와 '무심천연가'를 부른 황희선 씨(여, 58세) 씨, 인기상은 '월악산'을 부른 김민정 씨(여, 41세)와 '사랑의 마법사‘를 부른 김회선 씨(여, 47세)가 수상했다.

한편, 이날 행사에서는 경연에 앞서 백봉 작곡자의 일대기를 담은 영상을 상영해 향토사랑 정신을 함양하는 시간을 가지며 음악제의 의미를 더했다.

류호담 회장은 “백봉 작곡가의 고향노래 발전을 향한 마음은 우리와 영원히 함께 할 것”이라며 “앞으로도 백봉음악제 발전을 위해 노력하겠다”고 말했다.

오무임 백봉기념사업회 회장은 “남편의 높은 뜻을 기리기 위해 수고해주신 분들과 백봉 작곡가의 노래를 열창해 준 참가자까지 모두에게 진심으로 감사드린다”고 전했다.

한편, 충주시 동량면에서 태어난 고 백봉 선생은 월악산, 속리산, 소백산, 탄금대사연, 무심천 연가, 황양동 아가씨, 목계나루 등 충청북도의 멋과 아름다움을 그려낸 명곡을 만들며 지역을 알리는 데에 힘썼다.

이런 공로를 인정받아 충주를 빛낸 얼굴상 1호, 한국가요발전공로대상, 한국가요창작특수상(공로상), 한국연예 예술인 특별공로대상, 충주시민 대상 등을 받았으며 2016년 7월 31일 향년 74세를 일기로 타계했다.

Baekbong Memorial Society Chairman Oh Mu-im expressed his sincere gratitude, saying, "I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who worked hard to honor my husband's noble legacy, as well as to the participants who passionately sang Baekbong's songs."

The late Baekbong, born in Dongnyang-myeon, Chungju, dedicated himself to promoting the region by composing masterpieces that capture the beauty and splendor of North Chungcheong Province, including "Wolaksan Mountain," "Songnisan Mountain," "Sobaeksan Mountain," "Tangeumdaesayeon," "Musimcheon Yeonga," "Hwangyangdong Agassi," and "Mokgye Naru."

In recognition of his contributions, he received the First Face of Chungju Award, the Korean Popular Music Development Award, the Korean Popular Music Creation Special Award (Award of Merit), the Korean Entertainment Artist Special Merit Award, and the Chungju Citizen Award. He passed away on July 31, 2016, at the age of 74.
