충북 단양군은 오는 8월 1일부터 3일까지 사흘간 단양읍 상진나루 계류장에서 ‘2025 단양 레이크파크 수상페스티벌’을 개최한다고 밝혔다.

단양군체육회가 주최하고 단양군체육회와 단양군수상스포츠연합회가 공동 주관하는 이번 페스티벌은 수려한 단양강을 배경으로 수상레저 체험과 다채로운 즐길 거리, 볼거리로 구성돼 군민과 관광객 모두에게 잊지 못할 여름 추억을 선사할 예정이다.

축제는 화려한 플라이보드 공연을 시작으로, 제트보트와 모터보트, 패들보드, 카약, 수상자전거 등 다양한 수상레저기구 체험이 무료로 운영된다. 

체험은 단양군체육회를 통해 사전 신청하거나 현장에서 참여할 수 있으며 안전을 고려해 임산부, 노약자, 미취학 아동은 체험 참여가 제한된다.

8월 1일 저녁에는 개막 축하 콘서트와 함께 단양강의 밤하늘을 수놓는 화려한 불꽃놀이가 펼쳐질 예정이다. 

낮에는 대형 워터파크와 어린이 전용 풀장, 다양한 체험부스, 플로깅 챌린지 등 온 가족이 함께 즐길 수 있는 프로그램이 마련된다.

행사 기간 동안에는 안전사고 예방을 위해 수상안전요원과 구급대원을 다수 배치하고, 구급차 상시 대기와 함께 냉방 컨테이너와 냉풍기 등 무더위 대응 장비도 현장 곳곳에 설치해 운영할 계획이다.

이번 페스티벌은 여름철 단양을 찾는 관광객들에게 색다른 즐길 거리를 제공하는 것은 물론, 체험형 수상관광의 매력을 널리 알리고 지역 경제 활성화를 견인하는 계기로도 기대를 모은다.
