이날 방문은 이상 기후에 따른 폭염·폭우 비상 대응 업무, 하반기 예산 집행과 주요 현안 사업 추진 등 각 부서의 업무 강도가 높아지고 있는 가운데 직원들의 노고를 직접 살피기 위해 마련됐다.

조 군수는 이날 오후 8시경부터 야근 중인 부서를 돌며 직접 준비한 간식과 음료를 전달했으며, 현재 겪고 있는 어려움이나 건의 사항을 경청하는 시간을 가졌다.

조 군수는 “군민을 위해 묵묵히 책임을 다하고 있는 여러분 덕분에 음성군이 한 걸음씩 나아가고 있다”며 “늦은 시간까지 애써줘서 진심으로 고맙다”고 말했다.

그는 “행정의 중심은 사람이며, 공직자들의 헌신이 곧 군정의 원동력”이라며 “앞으로도 직원들이 자긍심을 가지고 일할 수 있도록 근무 환경 개선과 복지 확대에 지속적인 노력을 기울이겠다”고 밝혔다.
