이번 프로그램은 옥천군 양성평등기금 공모사업에 선정되어 추진되는 것으로 아빠와 자녀가 2인 1조로 참여해 다양한 요리를 함께 만들며 가족 간 유대감을 높이는 동시에 일상속에서 양성평등의 가치를 자연스럽게 체득할 수 있도록 기획됐다. 프로그램은 19일을 시작으로 총 3회에 걸쳐 진행된다.

요리교실은 아빠와 자녀가 함께 만들기 쉬운 메뉴로 구성됐으며 실생활에 유용한 조리법을 익힐 수 있도록 기획됐다. 세부 일정은 ▲7월 19일 삼계탕·오이김치(1회차), ▲8월 9일 제육타코·과일야채꼬치(2회차), ▲9월 13일 영양떡(3회차)이다.

최서연 회장은 “학생들이 아빠와 함께 요리를 만들며 소통의 즐거움을 느꼈을 것”이라며“이번 프로그램이 아빠들이 육아와 가사에 더욱 적극적으로 참여하는 계기가 되었기를 바란다”고 말했다.
