【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=윤건영 충청북도교육감과 김창규 제천시장이 두 달 앞으로 다가온 2025제천국제한방천연물산업엑스포를 앞두고 10일 오전 10시, 제천 천연물지식산업센터에서 정책간담회를 가졌다.

정책간담회가 열린 제천 천연물지식산업센터는 올해 4월 준공된 시설로 2025제천국제한방천연물산업엑스포 현장을 한눈에 볼 수 있는 곳이다. 양 기관장은 정책간담회를 진행하며 조직위로부터 엑스포 준비상황에 대한 설명을 들었다. 

이 자리에서 윤건영 교육감은 제천 지역 학생들의 엑스포 현장학습 예산을 지원할 것을 약속하였다.

간담회 이후, 양 기관장은 학교복합시설이 들어설 제천제일고등학교 실습장 부지도 함께 방문해 둘러봤다. 충북교육청과 제천시가 410억 원을 투자해 연면적 6,516㎡, 2층 규모로 생존수영장, 늘봄센터, 공연장, 북카페 등을 2029년까지 설치할 계획이다.

아울러, 이날 정책간담회에서는 작은 학교 살리기와 지방 소멸 위기 극복을 위한 교육 현안도 논의됐다.

향후, 충북교육청은 29일(화)에는 음성군과 31일(목)에는 영동군과 정책간담회를 가질 예정이다.
