【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 진천군 진천읍 지역사회보장협의체(민간위원장 송석현)는 관내 사회복지 종사자 500명을 대상으로 삼계탕 나눔 행사를 진행했다고 4일 밝혔다.

  이번 행사는 본격적인 무더위에 앞서 관내 40여 개 사회복지 기관·단체와 소외 계층을 위해 애쓰는 사회복지 종사자를 격려하기 위해 마련됐으며, 올해로 4회째 운영되고 있다.

  특히, 이번 활동은 진천군 전문건설협회(회장 임행섭), 동국제약(주)(대표 송준호), ㈜동연(대표 박현주)에서 후원해 더욱 풍성한 행사가 운영될 수 있었다. 

  송석현 위원장은 “비록 삼계탕 한 그릇이지만, 정성이 듬뿍 담긴 삼계탕을 드시고 취약계층을 지원하는 데 더 힘써 주셨으면 좋겠다”며 “앞으로도 복지 사각지대 해소를 위해 애쓰시는 분들과 소외 계층을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다. 

  한편, 진천읍 지역사회보장협의체는 올해 제5기 활동으로 △사랑 가득 반찬 나눔 △방문 초인등 지원사업 △취약계층 냉난방 물품 지원 △지레김치 나눔 사업 등 복지 사각지대 해소를 위해 다양한 활동을 하고 있다.
