군은 지난 1일 단양구경시장 고객지원센터에서 ‘민생현장 방문 간담회’를 열고, 전통시장과 골목형상점가 활성화를 위한 다양한 의견을 청취했다.

이날 간담회에는 김문근 단양군수를 비롯해 단양구경시장 상인회 안명환 회장, 단양팔경골목형상점가 김광배 회장 등 임원진 13명이 참석해 상권 발전 방안과 애로사항을 공유했다.

간담회에서는 “전통시장 보행로 정비를 통한 통행 편의성 개선”과 “골목형상점가 접근성 강화를 위한 비가림막 설치” 등 현장의 현실적 목소리가 이어졌다.

김 군수는 간담회 직후 읍내 2개 상권을 차례로 방문해 상인들이 제기한 건의사항 관련 시설을 직접 점검하며, 무더위 속에서 성실히 생업에 임하는 상인들을 격려하는 시간도 가졌다.

김문근 군수는 “지난 3년간 전통시장과 상점가의 안전 환경 개선, 디지털 전환 지원 등 여러 정책을 추진해왔지만, 결국 가장 중요한 것은 현장의 목소리”라며 “오늘 나온 의견을 바탕으로 단양구경시장과 팔경골목형상점가가 더욱 경쟁력 있는 쇼핑문화 공간으로 도약할 수 있도록 군이 함께하겠다”고 말했다.
