【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=증평군의회 연제광(사진) 의원이 ‘증평군 자전거 이용 활성화에 관한 조례 전부개정조례안’을 1일 대표 발의했다.

이번 조례안은 「자전거 이용 활성화에 관한 법률」 및 같은 법 시행령에서 위임된 사항과 그 시행에 필요한 사항을 규정하여 자전거 이용자의 편의를 높이고 용어·조문 등을 체계적으로 정비하고자 전부개정되었다.

주요 내용으로는 ▲ 자전거 주차장의 설치 및 운영 ▲ 자전거 이용 활성화계획 수립 ▲ 자전거 이용 활성화위원회 설치 및 기능, 운영 ▲ 무단방치 자전거의 처분 ▲ 자전거 수리센터 운영 ▲ 자전거 이용 관련 교육·행사 ▲ 자전거 교통안전교육장의 설치·운영 ▲ 자전거타기 생활화를 위한 시범지역 및 시범기관의 지정 등에 관한 사항을 담고 있다.

연 의원은 “자전거 이용자가 늘어나는 상황에서 군민들이 보다 안전하고 편리하게 자전거를 이용하고, 친환경 교통수단이자 건강한 생활 실천 도구로 자전거 이용이 더욱 활성화되기를 바란다”고 말했다.

조례안은 오는 24일 제209회 임시회 제2차 본회의에서 최종 의결된다.
