【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=청성면지역사회보장협의체(공동위원장 김형순, 김인하)가 여름을 맞아 관내 취약계층 가구의 세탁기 청소 사업을 실시했다.

세탁기 청소 사업은 사회복지공동모금회의 행복나눔 연합모금사업의 일환으로 올해 처음 실시됐다. 군은 장기간 사용으로 인해 세탁기 내부에 쌓인 먼지와 곰팡이를 제거할 수 있도록 청소 비용을 지원해 취약계층의 위생 환경 개선과 건강 보호에 기여하고자 한다.

이번 사업 대상은 관내 장애인 가구와 독거노인 가구 중 세탁기 청소 지원이 필요한 저소득 취약계층 29가구를 선정하여 전문 청소 업체 의뢰 후 진행하였다. 

김형순 청성면장은 “이번 사업은 관내 주민들을 위해 사용하도록 청성면지역사회보장협의체에 지정 기탁해 주신 모금액으로 추진돼 뜻깊다”며 “우리 면의 취약계층 가정이 깨끗해진 세탁기로 덥고 습한 여름을 건강하게 지내실 수 있게 되기를 바란다”고 말했다.

한편, 이번 사업 이후 취약계층 이불지원, 희망나눔 꾸러미 지원 사업 등이 하반기에 진행될 예정이다.
