충주마수리농요 보존회(회장 이원윤)는 나라의 평안과 주민들이 함께 즐거워할 수 있는 풍년의 여민동락(與民同樂) 마음으로 마수리 농요 재현행사를 2년 만에 시연했다고 30일 밝혔다.

이날 행사는 마수리농요전수관과 마제마을 들녘에서 박순석 사무국장(현 마제마을 이장)의 사회로 1부와 2부로 나눠 행사가 진행됐으며 보존회원, 마을주민 등 100여 명이 참여한 가운데 옛 고단한 노동을 달래는 시연이 펼쳐졌다.

행사에서는 고사덕담과 제사가 진행됐으며 △모찌기노래(절우자) △모심기노래(아라성) △아이김매기노래(김방아타령) 등을 재현하며 풍년을 기원했다.

이원윤 보존회장은 “올가을 풍요로운 수확으로 농심을 달래길 바란다”라며, “마을주민에게 신니면에 무형 문화유산이 있었다는 자부심을 느끼게 해 준 것에 뿌듯함을 느끼며, 농요의 맥을 이어가며 재지정되기를 기원한다”고 말했다.

한편, 충주마수리 농요는 1972년 ‘탄금대 방아타령’이라는 이름으로 제13회 전국 민속예술경연대회에서 대통령상 수상, 1982년 중원농악제에서 대상을 받았으며, 한때 1997년 충청북도 무형유산 5호로 지정되어 우륵문화제 참여 등 대내외 활동을 하였으나 2018년 지정 해제됐다.

It was once designated as Chungcheongbuk-do Intangible Cultural Heritage No. 5 in 1997 and participated in domestic and international activities such as the Ureuk Cultural Festival, but the designation was lifted in 2018.
