 이날 행사에는 사할린한인 어르신과 봉사자 등 70여 명이 참석하였고, 지역의 배려와 사랑 속에 어르신들의 장수를 기원하고 따뜻한 축하와 감사의 마음을 전하는 시간으로 채워졌다.

  어르신들께 카네이션을 직접 달아드리며 시작된 이날 행사는 봉사단의 “어버이 은혜” 합창, 지역 향토가수의 공연이 이어지며 분위기를 한층 더 흥겹게 만들었다. 이후 정성스럽게 준비된 오찬을 함께하며 어르신들은 훈훈한 정과 함께 소중한 시간을 보냈다.

 남성렬 협의회장은 “타향에서 외롭게 살아오신 사할린한인 어르신들에게 작은 위로와 감사의 마음을 전하고자 이번 행사를 마련했다”며, “앞으로도 지역을 위한 다양한 나눔 활동을 지속해 나가겠다”고 전했다.

 제천시에서는 대한적십자사 봉사회 제천지구협의회와 함께 사할린 한인 정착을 위해 효행사와 함께 문화탐방 및 송년행사 등의 문화체험 프로그램과 건강관리 프로그램을 지원하고 있다.

Jecheon Red Cross Volunteer Association Holds ‘Filial Piety Event’ for Sakhalin Korean Elders on Parents’ Day

The Jecheon District Council of the Korean Red Cross Volunteer Association (Chairman Nam Seong-ryeol) held a Parents’ Day event to share warm feelings with Sakhalin Korean elders at the Red Cross Volunteer Center on the 8th.

About 70 Sakhalin Korean elders and volunteers attended the event, and it was filled with time to wish the elders longevity and convey warm congratulations and gratitude amidst the consideration and love of the region.

The event began with the elders receiving carnations, and the volunteers’ “Parental Grace” choir and local singers’ performances further livened up the atmosphere. Afterwards, the elders enjoyed a heartfelt lunch together and spent precious time with warm feelings.
